Have you ever pressed the button on your car Key Fob and nothing happened? If your Key Fob isn’t unlocking your car or starting the Engine, the Battery might be dead! The good news is that changing the Battery is quick and easy. Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps!
What You’ll Need:
✔ A new battery (check your owner’s manual to find the right type)
✔ A small flathead screwdriver or a coin
Step-by-Step Guide:
1️⃣ Find the Battery Cover – Look for a small seam or slot on your key Fob. Some Fobs have a sliding cover, while others need to be popped open.
2️⃣ Open the Key Fob – Use a flathead screwdriver or coin to gently pry the Key Fob open. Be careful not to damage the inside!
3️⃣ Remove the Old Battery – Take out the old Battery and note which way it was facing (positive and negative sides).
4️⃣ Insert the New Battery – Place the new Battery in the same position as the old one.
5️⃣ Snap the Key Fob Back Together – Press the two halves of the Fob together until they click into place.
6️⃣ Test It! – Try locking and unlocking your car to make sure the Key Fob works. If it doesn’t, double-check that the Battery is installed correctly!
